Yes, I do realize that. Again, "if it is made." All it takes is someone making one, even you, and boom,; it gets stickied, you guys can be off topic all day long at each other and have fun in the sun forevermore. Same as if you make a proper serial thread, except it won't get a sticky. And no, I'm not missing the point, you're just apparently not willing to listen to what I'm saying. /oat/ has a remarkable amount of leniency applied to it, and that's a wonderful thing as I've said multiple times. It even allows for derails into completely non-pony stuff as long as its a natural motion and not a hostile takeover of a thread.
However, just flat out allowing people to make threads that have nothing to do with ponies in the silly funny pony board is going to make it stop being a silly funny pony board and turn it into basically another version of /chat/. Yes, when those threads get moved, they don't make much sense on /chat/; all the better reason not to make them in the first place. Or, make a serial like /pony/ did when they wanted to be off-topic. Or maybe even get people to branch out and stop posting on one board and one board only, though that's got a snowball's chance in hell!
Either way, there are rules in place on all boards that allow you to make serial threads on-board for easier access if you want which let you accomplish anything you could do by making a bunch of threads about /oat/ posters; it's just, for some reason, no one on /oat/ is taking advantage of them. And there's no reason to restructure how things operate on /oat/ when all the stuff you need is already there.
