This is a test of the Investigations style of Ace Attorney.

A murder has just been committed, and evidence has been found. It's time to find the truth.

It's quite simple, is it not, Franziska? There is one true murderer to this unfortunate woman. The things to ask now are who, how, and why.

'How' cannot be disputed. This cake knife is obviously the murder weapon, and bleeding out the cause of death.

Who and why, depends on the evidence. I've noticed this spray bottle of luminol. Ema, if I am not mistaken, you are quite familiar with these.

This is how this incident occurred:
>[Argument]
>1. The victim, Mia Fey as you can see, was last seen in the courtroom after the end of yet another successful defense.
>2. For whatever reason, she decided to stay behind after the court was adjourned, where no witnesses could see her or the assailant.
>3. Knowing Mia Fey's low-browed, fool-entertaining sense of humor, and Ema Skye's hate for anything overly blunt and unscientific, Mia Fey likely aggravated her
>4. In a fit of rage, Ema grabbed a cake knife from a nearby catering cart and plunged the knife into Fey's abdomen.
>5. Realizing what she had just done, she panicked and fled from the scene, dropping her luminol bottle and key that she had been carrying on her person at the time.

HOLD IT!
You say that she decided to stay behind after court was dismissed, and no one was there to witness her or the unfortunate event that is her murder. Are you sure of that? That no one else saw Miss Fey in this courtroom?

File: 1416632395013.gif (600.71 KB, 256x192, fran-aha(d).gif)

The only thing that could disprove that notion is if a potential witness did in fact claim to have seen it. Which I highly doubt you have already found.

Otherwise, we have no reason to believe anyone else was in the room.

I beg to differ, Franziska. I believe I have evidence that can quite clearly place another person on the scene.

>Grey/Silver hairs presented

Quite clearly, this does not belong to Ema Skye nor Mia Fey. Do these hairs belong to you, Franziska? They do look rather similar. How do I know you are not the one who had brought Mia Fey to her untimely demise?

Franziska von Karma 858061

File: 1416632849886.gif (29.12 KB, 256x192, fran-clench(d).gif)

As a lawyer, Mia Fey comes into contact with many individuals in a day. Perhaps the hair came from a client, opposing attorney, or what have you. Can you prove that these hairs appeared during or after the killing?

Miles Edgeworth !vk2noctis. 858064

Ah, I can, Franziska. I'm ever so pleased that you asked. If you look closely at the hairs, they are near her wound. The hairs would simply not be there if they were from before. Surely, the hairs would fall off in such a deadly altercation, but these remain.

I assert, using this evidence, that there was undoubtedly another person on this scene.

None other than my father, Manfred von Karma, transferred to Mia Fey's wound by Ema Skye!

See, as I make sure to take daily visits to my father, he told me that this morning, he met Ema Skye in person. After discussing in detail what it must have been like to keep a bullet in a wound for years, she shook his hand and his hairs transferred to her sleeve. This is why his hairs are on the wound: it came from the sleeve of the woman carrying those hairs!

Miles Edgeworth !vk2noctis. 858074

>>858069
OBJECTION!
Ema Skye did nothing of the sort. If she did, we'd find hairs belonging to Manfred von Karma on her items as well.

Instead, I believe it was in fact, Manfred von Karma who has committed this crime. Right here with me, I hold a torn cravat. Now, as aesthetically pleasing, and downright amazing as a Cravat is, it is unfortunately not a very well adopted tie these days. Only one other man in the prosecutor's office wears a Cravat, and it is none other than Manfred von Karma. This was found with the victim.

I also present to you a keycard. Such an item allows it's user to enter the courtrooom at any time of day or night, for that matter. One is given to each Prosecutor. This one in particular is assigned to Manfred von Karma.

Using these two pieces of evidence, it is easy to deduce what truly happened at this scene.

Mia Fey and Manfred von Karma got into an altercation, eventually escalating to a point where Manfred grabbed a knife and attempted to stab her. His first try was unsuccessful, resulting in this torn cravat. He then stabbed her, and framed Miss Ema Skye.
