Twilight, it's been years since I've been an actual defense attorney. Something happened, one fateful day, that changed my life. I only do my job. I'm here, because you were a friend of mine, and I remember some good times. I'm here, to do a job, and go home, just like last time. No more, no less.

I gotta admit though, its nice to be here again.

Let me go over some things for memories sake, it's been so long details may have been forgotten.

The case is an attempted murder trial. The Defendant is Twilight Sparkle, charged with the attempted murder of the Victim, Trixie Lulamoon. The Defense consists of Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright, with the Prosecution being Godot. You can check the record for more info because I can't remember everything.

Also, posting previous diagrams because the Prosecution wants to take a look.

My main concern is the book, Mr. Godot.

Recall that the book was returned at 5:20 PM

Now, according to the Autopsy report, the assault happened from any point between 5 and 6 PM

According to the witness, she was strolling around the park at about this time. Now, the exact time she was at the park is not known, and since she was in such distress, little can be remembered.

Now, if you recall, my theory of Twilight Sparkle being framed was turned down, but I can't see why. If the book was returned at 5:20 PM, and the Assault happened at say, 5:10 PM, there is ample time to get from one location to another.

Also, the witness did not testify seeing Twilight Sparkle fleeing the scene, as Detective Marshall had said she did. Why do these things contradict? You can see my concern, of course, can't you?

My other concern is the paint bucket.

>can of black paint and a paintbrush. No magical traces found on the can.

Why were there no magical traces found on the can? Trixie is a Unicorn, she could easily just lift it using magic to carry it with her.

I should think the answer to that would be obvious, Trite. This witness is not the one who saw the defendant leaving the scene of the crime. We will hear from them in due time. This witness merely discovered the vicitm's unconscious body.

So in other words, you don't have an answer.

>This witness is not the one who saw the defendant leaving the scene of the crime

Hehehehe….

OBJECTION!

Surely, if this witness discovered the crime scene, she would have seen Twilight Sparkle fleeing. It was said that she didn't use teleportation magic, for whatever reason. Assuming this to be true, the witness would have seen Twilight Sparkle make her hasty retreat after assaulting Trixie Lulamoon.

Recall the testimony,

>3. All of a sudden, though, I heard a loud commotion, so I stopped walking and peeked in the direction of the noise, through the bushes.

Were she to take a peek during this time, she surely would have seen either the altercation between Twilight Sparkle and Trixie Lulamoon, or would have seen Twilight beginning her retreat.

But she mentioned neither of those things! So either Twilight Sparkle was never at the scene to begin with, and our true culprit teleported away, or this witness was never at the scene of the crime!

But is it not more likely that she heard the altercation? Prosecutor Godot, I'm having trouble believing that something else was heard. There was no mention of any other disturbances that day by the Detective or anyone else for that matter.

The defense asserts that this witness has committed perjury. The facts do not add up.

Also recall that if this was really and truly the pony who called the police and discovered the body, she would have done these actions at around 6, however, she claims it was about 5:30 PM when she discovered the body.

If you look at yesterday's transcript, you will see that Detective Marshall testified to arriving at 6:20 PM

>We arrived on the crime scene, Ponyville Park, at roughly 6:20

This witness has lied to the court!

The defense argues that Twilight Sparkle is not the murderer, and the true assailant could have been the person who had borrowed the book from Twilight Sparkle. It is very much a possibility, since the book was returned at 5:20 PM. The assault, according to the autopsy report took place inbetween 5 and 6 PM meaning that it could have happened at 5PM, giving the assailant ample time to dispose of, or "return" the incriminating evidence.

I'm sure if you were in a hurry to leave, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a dazed and unconscious pony while in a panic. The difference, however is quite crucial. We don't know exactly when Ms. Lulamoon lost consciousness. After being assaulted, the victim, clinging to consciousness, could have struggled to make her presence known before succumbing to her injuries. This could easily be the "commotion" the witness heard.

>Also recall that if this was really and truly the pony who called the police and discovered the body, she would have done these actions at around 6, however, she claims it was about 5:30 PM when she discovered the body.

Also recall, Trite, that she could only estimate the time, and given her panicked state, she could easily have been mistaken.

OBJECTION!

Your Honor, I will not allow this case to continue any further!

It is the defense's assertion that this case has been brought to court without incriminating evidence. There isn't one piece of evidence that is irrefutable.

Yes, my client's magical aura is on the book, but that is in no way irregular since she is a pony who indulges in books quite often. Her home is also a library, might I add.

So she was seen with this book, this is also not deviating from the norm, for the same reason.

Are we to assume that a simple insult from Trixie Lulamoon sparked this entire assault? Twilight Sparkle is much more mature than that. She is the bearer of the Element of Magic, as well as Princess Celestia's top and most cherished student, she would never dare harm anyone who is innocent. It is against her nature. Twilight Sparkle has been insulted by Trixie numerous times, and during none of them did she ever act totally hostile. Was she annoyed? Yes, but wouldn't you be to if someone constantly harassed you with the same insults over and over?

A lot of the prosecution's arguments have been based off of assumptions, likewise, so have mine, because there is not enough concrete fact about this case. A lot of this case has been assumption and hearsay. The details of this assault are up in the air. There is not enough evidence that shows my client is guilty! Might I add, that no one has placed Twilight Sparkle at the exact scene of the crime! The reason? Because she never committed this crime! The inconsistencies are too glaring! A lot of "imagination" has been used during this trial and a lot of assumptions as well. Why didn't Twilight teleport away if she had committed the crime, I asked. The response?

> I could give several reasons, but at this point it's little more than conjecture. Perhaps her ability to do so was impeded in some way. Or perhaps she simply happened to be in a panic and wasn't thinking rationally.

The keywords there being:
>Conjecture
>Perhaps

On account for lack of incriminating evidence, I demand a verdict should be given!

If she was holding the book, after all, then who else could have used it to attack the victim at that time? If you think the witness is lying, your job is to prove it, not to speculate that they might be lying.

Sure! Sorry about that! I didn't know how much detail you needed! Mr. Coffee Man isn't exactly the best at saying his words, I guess!

It was a purple colored pony, with a darker purple mane. She had a cutie mark of something like a star. Her mane was very simple and flat, in a way.

Does that help?

Yeah, you're right Ema. But there's nothing wrong with that. Twilight was only reading a book. For all we know, when the witness said

Twilight could have gone into a more secluded portion of the park to indulge in her favorite pastime, reading.

I fail to see how this testimony is supposed to prove Twilight Sparkle was at the scene of the crime, if the witness only saw her
"running while levitating the book".

あややややややや。。
Ms… Berry, what was it? Cherry Berry? That's a nice name. Anyway, you took out this book on that day, did you? Heheh..~

That's a bit odd. If you check the see-through court record here, you'll notice that the last time this book was checked out was at three after noon and returned at five at the same evening. However, that's a bit odd considering what the witness just said, isn't it?

>Uhh…yes! Yes! I'm sure! You know, I love that book! I borrowed it from the library that same night! Its my favorite to read in the park!

>I borrowed it from the library that same night!

You say that you borrowed this book the same night, but with the evidence that we have right now we can conclude that the book was last taken out at 3:00 and returned at 5:20.
>Time Card: A timesheet indicating that Anthology of Adventure was last checked out on May 5 at 3:00 PM and returned on May 8 and 5:20 PM
Meaning, of course, Ms. Berry over here didn't take out that book before her because at that time it was nowhere near "night", not to mention after that and during night Twilight had that book the entire time, backed up by the witness herself. But here's another thing. Let's say that other guy over there says that she just took it out after it was returned.
>returned on May 8 and 5:20 PM
It couldn't have been after Twilight's arrest, and it couldn't have been anyone else because at that time because she had already gotten back.
>The defendant was found in her place of residence, the Ponyville Library, and upon investigation of the residence, the police located the item believed to have been used in the assault. The defendant was arrested on the spot at roughly 6:40.
Do you see? Nobody could have checked out that book before Twilight, and nobody could have checked it out after Twilight.
But if that pony said she did, a substantial problem is raised. She couldn't have!

What's more, this time card, again.
>5:20 PM
This time card displays the LAST time it was taken out.
>A timesheet indicating that Anthology of Adventure was last checked out
Meaning, of course, nobody checked out that book that the witness vehemently confirmed was the Anthology of Adventure after it was returned to the library at 5:20.
……But that's odd. If that pony didn't check it out after Twilight, and Twilight was in possession of the book the whole "night"… How on earth did the pony ever check it out that same "night"?

…Ufufufufu, the answer is simple!~
She didn't.

I argued with her for a few minutes, but I was so annoyed with her. Trixie even called out Twilight's name, which made Twilight come running to the scene. I don't know why she did though. I pretended I had just found Trixie like this to, and I gave Twilight back her book, and Twilight ran off for help.

Let me rephrase that, Witness. The most recent evidence of handling to this book are a pair a magical auras. As the book had been out of the library for five days immediately prior to the crime, it stands to reason that the most recent patron to borrow it before then would also have been a Unicorn, otherwise there would have been more recent signs of handling. So I'll ask you again, Witness. How exactly did you manage to hit Ms. Lulamoon with this book?

I just told you how! The reason why there's no signs of handling is because I wiped off my hoof prints and saliva from the book before I gave it back! I had ample time to do this, I just used Trixie's paper sign to wipe anything that shows I had the book off of the book.

Mr. Godot has brought up an interesting point. Phoenix Wright had his attorney's badge taken away from him for presenting false evidence to the court. Now surely, that is unlike the Phoenix Wright we have seen in court, however, it still did happen. Phoenix Wright paid the price for submitting forged evidence. Surely, you can't let him off the hook so easily, especially with this in mind, can you? While its true, things are still being investigated in that case, the results are undeniable. Wright has no law license in our world for a reason. I'm surprised Celestia demanded him over his new subordinate, Apollo Justice.

Oh? You're still here? I thought you disappeared after the verdict was given. Anyways, apparently, there's new and vital information about this case that has just come to light. We owe it to the court to let the Victim speak. Maybe our truth isn't all too true at all.
(if only there was some kind of science we could use. Maybe some kind of science that can allow me to see people's emotions. Maybe I should ask Ema if such a science and technology exists, she is the science girl)

Ah, Ema Skye, beautiful as always. Go on, tell Wright about our relationship.

That is, unless of course, you want me to reveal more pictures to the court. Which I have plenty of.

You're not paying attention. This Ema is from another timeline.

Besides, those photos are clearly fakes….I Hope…

I commend you for creating your own gifs. This is rather impressive, considering how technologically illiterate you are. Are you sure you didn't have Ema Skye make these for you?

The Judge is calling in on the "I'm so done with this" card, so unless we can find a Judge that's not exactly going to be easy to pull off. Not to mention we kinda were planning to retrial Case 3 now.

Just like he said. I'm sorry you guys don't have a more cooperative judge.

Anyways, I'm up for a case 3 retrial! That shit was a good case that Noctis came up with, at least in concept. I didn't care for the circlejerking about photos, but hey, I'm up to see what you do with it this time.

I'm sure that you'll be able to pull it off sometime in the future. I assume your prosecutor friend isn't entirely against the idea. All you need is a more cooperative judge. Have you tried making announcement threads on 4chan? Maybe you'll get some fresh blood in. I jumped in from there, after all.
