*yawn*

There is no definitive proof. Either accept the evidence or don't. There is no moseying around this one. This is true evidence. This is the evidence YOU requested, and yet, you're calling it into question. How foolish of you.

OBJECTION!

If we cannot authenticate the time of this photograph, you have nothing placing my client on the scene of the crime at the time of the murder.

The defense asserts that if the Prosecution can not prove this photo was taken at 8:00 PM, then it has failed to provide the burden of proof.

Hmm… The Defense here does have a point, however. If you cannot prove this image was taken at 8:00PM you cannot prove they argued, and the Defendant loses her motive.

SILENCE!

Poppycock. We have everything else placing your client at the scene of the crime. This photo is of little relevance, and if you say that the time stamp is possible to be incorrect, then I do not know what to tell you. However, the fact remains, Rarity's magic aura was found on the murder weapon! That is the most damning evidence against your client, and needless to say, if you weren't so insistent on wasting the courts time, other witnesses could have testified as to the fact that Ms. Rarity was there. It is a fact that she was. She was also found leaving the scene of the crime.

>>760059
Your Baldness, you should know better than that. The photograph taken at 5PM easily establishes her motive. This photo has done thing to establish anything. It has been an utter waste of this court's time! I plea that you penalize the defense for all their photographic shenanigans.

Either continue your cross-examination, Old Man, or face my blade.

Very well, I will allow this. However, you do have something that can prove the Defendant was at the scene of the crime at the time of the murder?

Simon Blackquill !vk2noctis. 760065

File: 1399097749930.gif (589.86 KB, 500x300, BlackquillBlade.gif)

>>760059

Your Baldness, The prosecution believes that the burden of the proof is on the defense's hands. They are the one who requested this evidence be brought to light. The evidence I submitted was in fact, incorrect, and it turned out it instead took place at 5PM.

Mind you that the 5PM photograph, taken on the same day, depicts Fancypants and Rarity in a tense argument. The motive still stands.

This photograph, taken at 8PM, is entirely new evidence, and since the defense requested it, it is their burden. If they have a fault with their own evidence, then so help me god I shall strike them down and make them pay for their tom foolery myself.

The prosecution had nothing to do with the submitting of this evidence, ergo, I can not be held accountable for the proof.

Simon Blackquill !vk2noctis. 760068

File: 1399098135384.gif (513.69 KB, 500x300, BlackquillStare.gif)

>>760064

Other than witness testimony, that we no longer have time for, thanks to the photographic shenanigans that the defense has been pulling since the very beginning of this trial, the prosecution has no evidence. The murder weapon has Rarity's magical aura on it, that in itself should be more than enough to prove that she was there, and that she was the murderer.

Your Honor, The prosecution asks for a verdict. A Guilty verdict, if you will. The defense has done nothing but play games with these photographs and have ignored every other part. I have frequently asked you to penalize them, for I knew they would keep going down this road if they were not halted by your gavel of justice. The defense has no other holes to poke.

The facts of this case remain unchanged.

Rarity and Fancypants were arguing at 5:00 PM; this is backed by photographic evidence
Rarity entered the building at 7:55PM
A disturbance was reported to the police at 8:05PM - this can be backed by Fool Bright
Fancypants is expected to have been murdered at 8:10 PM; this is backed by the autopsy
At 8:15 PM, a photo of a dead Fancypants was taken by the hidden camera
At 8:30 PM Rarity was found leaving the scene and was arrested.

Gregory Edgeworth 760071

>>760061

OBJECTION!

An argument made a full three hours before the murder does not establish a definitive motive. We lack context for the argument in question. The witness even testified that he wasn't sure what it was they were arguing about.

Further, going over the transcript, it appears the defendant and victim already had a pre-existing relationship. It is entirely possible my client's aura was on that knife well in advance of the murder.

>>760065

But this is the very basis of the argument, Prosecutor Blackquill. You attempted to place my client on the scene of the crime with a faulty photograph, therefore the burden of placing her on the scene falls to you. That the photo requested by the defense does not place her on the scene either does not excuse the prosecution's earlier failure to place my client on the scene.

Defense, I am going to have to ask you this time. Can you disprove this theory, or come up with something else to prove your case? Keep in mind if you cannot I will have to penalise you this time.

And regardless if it is hearsay or not, it is more than enough to show that something was amiss.

Ms. Rarity is not definitely guilty. So long as there is another pony's DNA on here, there is more than enough doubt about who the true culprit is. The prosecution rests.

In case you were wondering, the reason why everything ended so anti-climatically is because we ran out of time, and we decided to go with the coin flip rule. If the coin flip favored the defense, the knife wasn't tested for saliva, and it had another pony's saliva on it. If it favored the prosecution, it was tested and Rarity was the only one found.

Needless to say, it favored the defense. And I was so close to victory to.

You did good man. It must have been pretty frustrating. From what I understand, the people who prosecute the cases make the cases, right? This was a pretty damn solid case man. Those photos really brought you down.

Also, what the fuck? No Epilogue? That is fucking lame as all hell. Even if this trial had the most anti climactic end, at least fucking give it some closure. Either that, or a retrial. But since this time, a verdict was handed, I doubt that you guys will do that.

>>762622
TRPW, have the full story.
When we finished the trial, it was approximately 3:00 AM. I was tired, cranky, and starting to lose it. I was frustrated, and I became a little bitch. I guess some people never change. Honestly, everyone was kind of let down by the verdict except for Gregory Edgeworth and perhaps Ema Skye. I caused drama that night because the defense was going to make another photographic objection, and I basically just gave up there. I got one or two people really pissed that night. Because I was being a little bitch and arguing with the person playing Button's Mom and Discord, Gregory Edgeworth and Ema Skye decided to talk amongst themselves and go with a coin flip. Because I was tired as fuck, I had no other choice, and I really didn't want to cause more drama.

Either way, I'll be returning to my position as Wright in the next case, if someone else doesn't want to be the defense instead. I don't know, but I feel my days as a part of this group are numbered.

Allow me to further elaborate.

We do have a skype group, but it never was mandatory that you partake in it. When we were on 4chan, we were very reliant on a random anon stepping up to be witnesses.

When we did DLC Case 1, Turnabout Snow, we got the whole DLC Case crew in order.

It was thanks to a bunch of new comers who had an interest in threads like this that we were able to make DLC Cases.

Basically, the DLC Case crew is very low in number, and we're always glad to include more people.

Most people think these cases are scripted from beginning to end, but its quite the opposite. Only the Evidence and details of the case are scripted. Any change of details to the case are unscripted. Everything that we do, is improv.

I get a bit too into it, and get frustrated, and start to forget that I'm supposed to be having fun, note the excessive use of caps lock near the end of the trial.

Either way, as it currently stands, our rag tag team of legal figures is as follows:

Noctis(myself) As Phoenix Wright and Simon Blackquill (Sorry for stealing the role, Blackquill Anon)
Pot of Rice as Ema Skye, Judge, Franziska von Karma, and various witnesses in the past
Godot Godfrey As Godot, Franziska von Karma, and Gregory Edgeworth
Judge (Avery) As Judge

The more, the merrier, as they say.
