I think honesty is a little harder to condense into a single gesture than the other elements are, especially in a way that makes sense for kids. What does "being honest" mean? Can any of us say we are honest people? If so, why? Make it a personal challenge to go one week without telling a lie.
The cliff scene was an unconvincing example of AJ's element because there was no temptation–there was no reason why she wouldn't tell Twilight she'd be safe. In fact, it comes off as peculiar that she goes about it in such a roundabout way–why not just say, "Oh, Rarity and Fluttershy will catch you."
I personally see the elements as not just something the characters are supposed to represent, but also what they struggle with. This is really when the writing is best. AJ has some moments like that, like in "Applebuck Season" and "The Last Roundup", but never convincingly in a big continuity episode.
>the writing was always shit.
And yet, here you are. Participating on a board specifically dedicated to show discussion, no less. If it's so worthless, why bother? (be honest)
