I don’t know much about flash or coding but from my limited experience in the field, wouldn't you have to define the "function playfuck1_fn" BEFORE you used it? I dunno if it's still like that, but it seems like you've called the function before you defined it.

Thanks but the problem is not there. It's about mouse event detection. The issue rises before the script could get as far as executing the "playfuck1_fn".

I really should give my functions appropriate names.

My last experience with coding was fucking around on a MUD using C so my experience is incredibly limited.

Am I to assume that when you type something like "gotoAndStop(1)" that stops the current function and goes to that line?

Cause if so, all your gotoAndStop(2); 's are refrencing a notation.

I doubt that's the problem but it's the best I can come up with.

Uh no, and the pasted code is just a class out of context. In AS3 gotoAndPlay(n) is a reference to the n timeline frame in the GUI. You won't be able to find the bug because you can't see the symbols and child timelines. Sorry I got technical on you.

It was on frame 1.
I put a symbol on the wrong layer.
How did you do that?
