I like how it seems to do its own approach to being fun and happily loots elements from realism when it serves its purpose but otherwise does as it pleases.
Like you said, tactics, teamwork, knowing when to wait and when to act, are all part of the game.
But at the same time
-all the guns are hitscan weapons,
-most the guns have a predictable spray pattern (with little bit of random spread added to each individual shot) making it possible to control your shots when spraying by learning to compensate for a guns spray pattern
- the game uses a hitpoint system where your fully functional if you have at least 1 hp left and dead the moment you hit 0
None of those 3 things I just mentioned reflect reality, but they are part of the game anyway and, depending on your opinion, may contribute to making it good and/or fun.
